A Free Verse
How have you been all these time we’re apart?
How have you been all the while I’m crying?
Waiting for the chance for us to be together,
Suffering in silence for there’s nothing I can do.
How lonely it is to be lonely when you’re all alone,
When there’s no one to share in your sorrow,
The time has come to treat things as a grown up,
But you have no one to lean on in the wobbly moments.
Many questions arise groping for answers,
What you get are too heavy to understand,
Yes, things aren’t as simple as they used to be,
We need to face life up front.
Tears rolling down the cheeks of a woman,
Comforting in her arms a helpless soul,
A fading picture of scare and hurt,
Picking up her shattered pieces one by one.
God’s not far away not to notice our sufferings,
He will not fail to see all the struggles we bear,
His ears are not close not to hear our sigh,
His hands are not tied to withhold relief.
Never abandon a friend weeping silently,
Neither forsake a love that has blossomed from innocence,
A day shall come to fulfill a vow,
And the waiting shall end with a kiss.
