We Share a Wealth of Memories

Here’s the last installment:

Thinking of you
is like taking a look
through an old photograph album.
Just as each faded image
calls to mind a memory
as clear as today,
thoughts of you
bring back the many times
we’ve shared as friends.
Those times mean a lot to me,
and I wouldn’t trade them
for the world.

I’ve read a quote which says, “Love is when two people know everything about each other and are still friends.” I believe that is true. True friendship is accepting the person as who he or she is and not what we want him or her to become. However, acceptance does not mean tolerating our wrongs. Friends are suppose to uphold us and help us up when we fall. Friends strengthen us not by just siding with us or telling us what we want to hear. True friends hurt us by saying the things that we need to hear in order to straighten our crooked paths and bring us back to the right direction.

That is the reason why those who have a lot of friends have a big upper hand in the journey of life.
