An Intoxicating Dream

Blank Verse in Iambic Pentameter

In the middle of a cold, rainy night,
Two passionate hearts were tied together,
Their rhythmic heartbeats took delight and joy,
As untamed passion burned up in their soul.

The warmth permeated even soft clay,
Electrifying impulses ran through,
Life vessels surrender without delay,
To their one uncontrollable desire.

A touch of sweet and unquenchable love,
Tenderly doing the heart-pounding dance,
Exploring deeply the hidden riches,
Of inseparable togetherness.

The warm water of pure and naive love,
Deluged the garden of meek innocence,
Like the unexpected rain in summer,
They were wordlessly longing; hoping for.

The liquor of love had all been drunk up,
Intoxicating their souls with passion,
Tied to each other with an unseen twine,
Chasing after forever in their dreams.

Two souls were dying to be together,
The bee and the flower rest in the hope ,
Somewhere during winter the sun would rise,
And would melt the snow that hid the garden.
