A Concealed Passion

Revised: May 13, 2009, Wednesday
Quatrains in Iambic Pentameter with an ABBA Rhyme Scheme

-May 29, 2001
Life is not life without you by my side,
Love is not love if not forever true,
At each sunrise, the passion longs for you,
Hoping that to us, tomorrow won’t hide.

-May 17, 2001
I can hardly keep myself in restraint,
I can no longer hold the emotion back,
Love’s much too big to keep it in a sack.
Love’s much too intricate for words to paint.

-May, 18, 2001
Dwelling in moments of desperation,
The passion’s mightier than what I dread,
Persistence will surely be rewarded,
My mind still avers the illusion.

-May 19, 2001
Like a prince wearing a coat of valor,
Valiantly going for the final chance;
To the dream of an everlasting dance,
My heart desires and prays for a favor.

-June 5, 2001
Yet it is hard to ride on a saddle,
When the stallion runs smoothly fast,
With a sudden stop, away you are cast;
It’s better to travel with a paddle.

-September 9, 2001
But nothing is sweeter than to be loved,
Above all when you both think of forever,
Nothing’s better than being together.
With the person for whom your heart has throbbed.
