Christ in All Seasons

1. If you shall frown,

All the day long;

No break of day,

Shall come your way.

Think Christ then smile,

And hide your pride; (Jeh 33:17)

The joy He will bring, (Rom 15:13)

Are as flowers in spring.

2. If you will cry,

Due to fallen pride,

Time lost in vain,

To rise again.

Seek Christ His hope, (Col 1:27)

Your soul shall cope; (Heb 6:19)

His blessings flow,

Like drops of snow. (2 Cor 9:11)

3. If you have lost,

Your riches and gold,

No worldly word,

Can make you bold.

Christ love alone (Heb 13:6)

Can make you strong, (2 Cor 13:3)

Christ, same in autumn, (Heb 13:8)

Unchanged in all seasons.

4. If you have suffered

Vain labors on earth, (1 Pet 5:6)

No life can claim

Christ greater pain.

Christ’s death reconciled

Sinful death into life (John 17:2)

Christ’s love beyond,

All knowledge of men. (Eph 3:19)

5. For Christ is all, (Col 3:11)

In all winter or fall,

No summer, spring,

Can change His caring.

If you believe, (John 14:14)

You shall receive. (Mark 11:24)

In Christ’s Spirit,

You are complete. (Col 2:10)

6. Take up, Christ’s cross, (Luke 9:23)

Overcome this world; (Phil 4:13)

For now you hold (Eph 6:11)The shield of the Lord.

His yoke in your life,  (Mt 11:29)

Shall guide your path,

Your great reward

Is the crown of life. (Rev 2:10)
