Manhood
Where do we draw the line
To separate the sweet from the brine?
Is there any sign
To know who’s without a spine?
When I was a boy,
I think only of my toys,
But as soon as I developed a husky voice,
With it came the need to make a choice.
I began to admire things of beauty;
I began to dream endless possibilities,
‘Till I realized it was not as easy,
As a river flows into the sea.
But shall I tremble at my plight?
And just give up without a fight?
Let manhood soar to a greater height,
Take hold of the future, hued and bright.
