War-torn
Screaming; wailing,
A horror-filled morning,
Lives being wasted,
Death’s mouth is fed.
Innocent souls,
Taking the toll,
Greed and principle,
Wound and cripple.
Metal and valor,
Reign in terror,
Crawling madness,
City in furnace.
Orphaned and helpless;
Children lie in distress,
Incurable disease,
Of war-torn memories.
