We’ve Been Friends a Long Time

Several years ago, a friend have given me a special Hallmark greeting card with poems on it for Christmas that celebrate a special friendship that transcends time and space. It has been 1n 1994 to be exact. I’m a sentimental person, I guess ‘cause I have kept greeting cards from friends, especially those with nice poems on them.

I have kept them in a box then whenever I’d remember, I would read them especially those I’ve appreciated and particularly the poems on this Hallmark card. The message is warm and it reminds me of my friend.

I would like to share the poems here on my blog. Perhaps, the simple words on the poems would touch those who would be able to read them and remember the friendships that they keep. As the old saying says, “A friend nearby is better than a relative who is far away”.

Over the years,

we’ve been through a lot together,

and through it all

our friendship has grown

deeper and stronger…

more patient, more understanding,

more and more precious to me.
