I am no longer my own, but thine,
Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt,
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee,
exalted for thee or brought low for thee.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things
to thy pleasure and disposal.
And now, O glorious and blessed God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
Thou art mine, and I am thine, So be it.
And the covenant which I have made on earth,
Let it be ratified in heaven. Amen

To some, it is difficult to surrender their life to the unseen or unperceived hand of God. Not necessarily because they do not believe in the power of God but because they just find it difficult to relinquish control over their own plans and decisions.
Everyone has his own concept of how he should run his life according to his will and competence. It seems easier to ask God to bless his own purposes and intentions than look for what is God’s in his life.
God is not a genie that gives an endless list of answered prayers. He is the God who loves us and supplies all our needs and wants but He desires our loving devotion, service and commitment.
This is the essence of faith: that we give our lives to the One who sees all beyond our ability to comprehend and blesses us beyond our capacity to embrace. He is more than life and He will never let go of one life to become useless.
Those who have tasted the goodness of God will testify that He never fails. We are acquainted with imperfections in life, but God will bring us up from those imperfections and soon He will take us to His mansions where there is neither pain nor sorrow.
